Back by popular demand: TheNesmith Library will offer and Intro to Scratch Coding for students in grades 3 through 5. A high school volunteer will introduce children to the basics of Scratch. Scratch is an online coding platform intended to teach the basic concepts of computer programming. With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations. Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively.
The library will host five one hour sessions. The Coding Club will meet onTuesday March 20 & 27, April 3, 10, & 17from 4-5pm. Each meeting will be a new lesson that is different and independent of the other. Students may sign up for one or all three of these upcoming programs.
