High School Summer Reading Book Groups

Every summer Windham High School  assigns books that  students must read for the upcoming school year. This year the Nesmith Library will be offering  book groups for the 9th and 11th grade titles. We will  discuss important themes and provide support constructing your report. We will also have FUN.

Each session will be 1 1/2 hrs long.

Teen Summer Reading Registration

 Teen Summer Reading Program registration begins today! If you register during the first two weeks (June 26th - July 10th), you will be entered to win a rockin' gift basket that includes: 2 Canobie Lake Park tickets; beach towels; an iTunes gift card; and more! One grand prize basket and 3 runners up will be drawn. The first 75 to register will get a swag bag! Raffle will be drawn on Wednesday, July 11th. This program is for ages 12 - 18 (or those entering grades 6 - 12).

Un"RAP" A Good Book (Special Raffle Event)

 Visit our display in the Young Adult area of the library and choose a wrapped book! Each book has a short description to give you some idea of the story, but you won't know the title until you unwrap it. Inside you'll find a Book Buck and a raffle ticket for a pair of Canobie Lake Park tickets. This special program will run for two weeks only (June 26th - July 8th) and then the raffle will be drawn. No registration is required, and this event is for ages 12- 18 (or for those entering grades 6 - 12).

Pop Rocks Rock for Teens!

 Originally sold in the late 70s and early 80s, this extraordinary candy literally pops in your mouth! Come experiment with Pop Rocks and experience the unique taste sensation! While you're munching and popping, you'll be creating beautiful bracelets from rocks. This program is for ages 12 - 18 (and those entering grades 6 - 12), and registration is required. Hamilton Trivia and Sing-a-long for Teens!

 Come sing along to one of the hottest Broadway shows in history! We'll be accompanied by the original cast (soundtrack) and belting out all of your favorite songs! Answer trivia questions about Alexander Hamilton and his time in history, as well as questions about the musical! This program is for ages 12 - 18 (and those entering grades 6 - 12), and registration is recommended. Please call the library at 432-7154 to register or for more information.
