Feeling overwhelmed by clutter? Wondering how to pare down and streamline, but not sure where to begin? Join us on Tuesday, September 17th at 6:00pm as Carol Martin-Ward, Certified Professional Organizer and owner of Practical Organizing Solutions, helps us declutter and sort our stuff. Carol will talk about establishing goals, formulating a plan, and suggest the best methods and tools to get the job done. At the end of the workshop, there will be a raffle for one free hour of Carol’s organizing services!
Get ready for autumn by creating a beautiful garland with leaves and glitter! Shimmery reds, golds, and coppers will welcome in fall in spectacular fashion! We are starting our very own book group! The first meeting of the Nesmith Library Book Group will be Wednesday, October 9th at 6:30pm. We’ll meet every month, on the second Wednesday of the month, at 6:30pm for about an hour. Books will be available about a month before we meet, so our first book, Burial Rites by Hannah Kent, will be ready for pickup on September 9th. They will be located on our “holds shelf." Look for the “Nesmith Library Book Group” section, pick one up, and bring it to the front desk to be checked out.
Starting June 3rd, the Adult Summer Reading Program is on! For every adult book read or adult audiobook listened to (library materials only, please) and for every adult program attended, you will earn a raffle ticket to for a chance to win one of 3 fabulous prizes! You must be a Nesmith card holder to participate, and registration is required. Stop by the Circulation Desk to sign up and to pick up a brochure with all of our wonderful summer programming!
Trivia is back! On Wednesday, January 29th at 6pm, we’ll be testing our knowledge on a variety of subjects. Grab your friends and form a team! Pizza will be served! Join us as the New Hampshire Astronomical Society brings the secrets of the night sky to us! We will begin inside with a short program on the stars and then we'll move outside to observe the night sky. You may want to bring bug spray and a folding chair.
