Summer Reading Program Kick-Off Party ~ June 23rd - PHOTOS!

Drop in anytime between 1:00-3:00pm ~ ALL AGES

Stop by for five minutes or an hour as you register for the Summer Reading Program, grab a snack, and make a craft.  Registrants that day will receive two special entries for separate raffles to win a Kendall Pond Pizza certificate or two tickets to Story Land!  

Steve Blunt will be our special guest as he performs his funny, heartfelt, and engaging songs.  This performance is made possible by the Friends of the Library of Windham.

If you cannot make it to the library on June 23rd, please note that registration will continue throughout the summer.  Register for the Summer Reading Program at the Nesmith Library and learn more about the fun programs planned for the summer and the fantastic prizes.  No registration required for this event.


"The Boston Bubble Guy" ~ June 29th - PHOTOS

10:30am  ~ Ages 5 and up

 

 

Mike Dorval brings his amazing bubble show to the library for an interactive, entertaining, one of a kind experience.

Independence Day Take-Home Craft ~ July 1st and 2nd

Celebrate the 4th of July and pick up a craft kits at the front circulation desk while supplies last

Weekly Worldwide Whereabouts! ~ Beginning July 6th

Beginning July 6th, our SRP Mascot will be on display in the Children’s Room.  Watch for new clues each week throughout the summer to guess where in the world our mascot has wandered.  Correctly identify the location of the mascot somewhere in the world and receive a raffle ticket to win the SRP Mascot and other prizes.


Drop-In Crafts ~ Wednesdays in July ~ PHOTOS

Join us  July 6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th

between 1:00-3:00pm

Create one of our fun summer crafts.  These crafts are recommended for children ages 4 and up - accompanied by an adult or guardian.  Crafts available while supplies last.

No registration required.


Bead Crafts and Sun Catchers ~ July 7th

10 am ~ Ages 7 and up

         

Spend the morning with friends making fabulous fusion bead crafts and sun catchers.

Registration required beginning June 24th.


Japanese Fans in Watercolor ~ July 11th

1 pm ~ Ages 6 and up

Kristine Brock leads art class using watercolor paints.

Registration required beginning June 27th. 


LEGO Mania! ~ July 12th

1 pm ~ ALL AGES

Imagine, invent, & build any LEGO creation in the world!

No registration required.


Skunk Zoo Story Time ~ July 12th

6:30 pm - ALL AGES

Local author Christopher Ouellette will read the story he wrote with his daughter Eowyn!

Following the reading, there will be a skunk craft, black & white snack, and book signing!

Registration preferred but not required beginning June 28th.

World Class Frisbee Show and Playshop ~ July 14th

11 am - Ages 8 and up

Frisbee Freestyle World Champion, Todd Brodeur, will lead the group in a demonstration followed by a hands-on clinic.

Registration required beginning June 30th.


"Italian Mosaic Art" with Tile Squares ~ July 18th

1 pm - Ages 6 and up

Kristine Brock leads art class using tile squares.

Registration required beginning July 5th. 


Movie Matinee ~ July 18th

4 pm - ALL AGES

Children of all ages are invited to the library to this enchanting, heartwarming G rated adventure movie.  Popcorn and beverages will be provided.  For movie title or more information, please call the library at 432-7154.

End of Summer Reading Program ~ August 17th

Featuring children’s music band,"Wayne from Maine!"

The whole family is invited to an outdoor party celebrating a summer of reading!  Don’t miss this amazing summer celebration and entertaining show held outside on the library grounds.  Grand prize raffle winners will be drawn for tickets to Canobie Lake Park and StoryLand.   After the performance, ice cream sundaes will be provided by F.L.O.W., the Friends of the Library of Windham.  In the event of bad weather, the program will be moved to inside the library
