Teen Volunteer Orientation

Young adults 13 years of age or older joined us for our

teen orientation meeting on

Tuesday, June 30th at 1:00pm.

About 50 young people came to find out how they could help out in the Children’s Room this summer!

Participants were asked to help keep the children’s room in order during the very busy summer months.  Our theme this year is “Summertime and the Reading is Easy” and so is volunteering just one hour a week!  Simple tasks include maintaining the supplies for the reading logs, story hour preparation, assisting in drop-in craft activities, straightening book shelves and/or lending a hand in one of our many children’s programs.

We guarantee you will have a good time hanging out in the active children’s room.  Also, for every hour you volunteer, you earn raffle tickets for a chance to win some great prizes held only for the teen volunteers.
