The Friends of the Library of Windham 2012 Scholarship Applications Are Now Available Let the Friends of the Library of Windham help fund your college education! We are pleased to offer both our Friends of the Library of Windham Annual Scholarship and the Friends of the Library of Windham Mary Long Scholarship. These scholarships are valued at $4,000 each and are awarded to a high school senior who is a Windham resident. Requirements include a minimum 3.0 grade point average and three letters of recommendation. Applicants for the Friends’ Annual Scholarship may be enrolled in any college degree program. Applicants for the Friends’ Mary Long Scholarship must be enrolled in one of the following degree programs: Art, Dance, Drama/Theatre, Music, Creative Writing, Communications, Broadcast Journalism, History, Art History, Architecture, Museum Studies, Art Conservation, Film or Graphic Arts Applications are now available at the Nesmith Library (Circulation Desk), Windham High School, Salem High School, Bishop Guertin High School, Central Catholic High School and online. Applications should be submitted at the Nesmith Library. Scholarship winners will be announced at the Strawberry Festival and Book Fair in June. Coish Family Scholarship 2012 The Coish Family Scholarship of $1000 will be awarded to a Windham High School senior who has participated in one or more sports at Windham High School and has consistently set an example of teamwork and sportsmanship while maintaining a GPA of at least 3.0. The scholarship may be used for tuition, living expenses, books, or supplies, and will be dispursed in late spring after the successful completion of the recipient's first semester of post-secondary education. Financial need is not a requirement. The Windham Endowment administers this scholarship on the behalf of the donors. Windham Woman's Club Academic Scholarship 2012 The Windham Woman's Club will award two $1500 scholarships in May, 2012. Applicants must be residents of Windham and must be graduating high school seniors. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of scholastic and academic achievement and demonstrated financial need. The scholarship is awarded conditionally upon graduation, but is not given until the winner has successfully completed the first college semester in January, 2013. Applications are available at the Nesmith Library. Mail completed application, including transcripts and letter of recommendation to Jean Morrow, 11 Cross Street, Windham, NH, 03087. ►Application deadline is April 20, 2012. General Federation of Women's Club of New Hampshire Scholarship 2012 The General Federation of Women's Club of New Hampshire Scholarship of $1000, and the Mrs. Otis Arnold Scholarship of $1200 are available for any senior in the state. There is one application for both scholarships and the application is also available online. Windham High School Jaguars The Windham High School Jaguar Booster Club offers three athletic scholarships of $1000 each to eligible WHS graduating seniors. Salem Exchange Club 2012 Freedom
Shrine Scholarship The award for the 2012 Scholarship will be in the amount of $1000.00; the runner up will receive $500.00. Scholarship funds will be sent directly to the winner’s selected college or university to be put towards the recipient’s tuition. Show off your knowledge of history with a video, audio, Power Point presentation or picture, and you might be able to increase your college fund. Alexander Eastman Foundation The Alexander Eastman Foundation has established a scholarship program for students pursuing further education in a health care field. The program is designed to provide scholarship grants from $200 to $2,500 to health care workers who seek to upgrade their professional skills.

Windham Lions Club Offers 3 Memorial Scholarships: The David Dunn Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $500 The Merrill Greenlee Memorial Scholarship in the amount of four yearly payments of $500, totaling $2,000 The Jeffery P.
