Alexander Eastman Foundation The Alexander Eastman Foundation has established a scholarship program for students pursuing further education in a health care field. The program is designed to provide scholarship grants from $200 to $2,500 to health care workers who seek to upgrade their professional skills.

Friends of the
Library of Windham (F.L.O.W.) Scholarships 2010 These scholarships, both in the amount of $2,000, are awarded to a high school senior who is a Windham resident. Requirements include a minimum 3.0 grade point average and three letters of reference. Applicants for the F.L.O.W. Annual Scholarship may be enrolled in any college degree program. Applicants for the F.L.O.W. Mary Long Scholarship must be enrolled in one of the following degree programs: Art, Dance, Drama/Theatre, Music, Creative Writing, Communications, Broadcast Journalism, History, Art History, Architecture, Museum Studies, Art Conservation, Film or Graphic Arts. Applications are now available at the Nesmith Library, Salem High School, Bishop Guertin High School, Central Catholic High School and online at: http://www.flowwindham.org/scholarship.html. Applications may be submitted at the Nesmith Library until Saturday April 24, 2010. Scholarship winners will be announced at the Strawberry Festival and Book Fair in June. Windham Garden Club Scholarship 2010 The Windham Garden Club will award two $2000 scholarships. Applications are available at the Nesmith Library. Letters of Application must be postmarked by March 31, 2010.

Windham Woman's Club Academic Scholarship 2010 The Windham Woman's Club will award two $1500 scholarships in May 2010. Applicants must be residents of Windham and must be graduating high school seniors. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of scholastic and academic achievement and demonstrated financial need. The scholarship is awarded conditionally upon graduation, but is not given until the winner has successfully completed the first college semester in January, 2011. Applications are available at the Nesmith Library and must be received by April 15, 2010. |
