Windham Annual Reports
The first records in the Town
Report appeared in 1887. This index
starts with that Report and includes Reports through 2001. Entries are from the Report dated the same
as the date of death unless indicated otherwise by a date in parentheses, as
“06/18/1923(25)”. This indicates the
death occurred in 1923 but is reported in the 1925 Report. A blank under “Place of Death” indicates the
death took place in Windham, although it often is not so stated. A “[No entry]” in that column indicates the
death did not take place in Windham but no indication is given as to where it
did occur. Entries for Sisters (nuns)
are identified with 1, referring to note 1, following the name. There are no entries for 1934 since none
appear in the Report.
An entry marked “[sic]”
indicates an apparent discrepancy in spelling, and that the entry has been
copied exactly as it appears in the Report.
Rather than using State and Province abbreviations from the Report,
current U.S. Post Office abbreviations have been used. Notes, indicated by a superscript number (1),
appear at the end of the file.
