All summer long, join us for these fun FREE Programs. For planning purposes (materials and FOOD!),
registration is required - please call 432-7154, visit the front desk, or email us.
When you arrive, a feast of
terrifying treats awaits you and your friends. Games, prizes and
A MONSTER OF A TREASURE HUNT
will follow with Deb Humiston from Ultimate Treasure Hunts.
If you are feeling brave, you can find the clues
inside and outside the library and discover
hidden treasure
lurking where you least expect it!
(Please wear sneakers and bring a flashlight)
Also, during the kick-off event, we will be collecting
non-perishable (no glass please) food items to be donated to the Shepherd’s Pantry here in Windham.
You will receive a raffle ticket for each food item you bring
so the more food you bring the more chances you have to win!
Items in need are:
Pasta and pasta sauce
Peanut Butter
Canned Vegetables and Fruit
Soups
Tuna and Canned meats
Baked Beans
If you can’t make it to the kick-off event, you can visit the front desk at the library to sign up any time during the summer.
Once you are signed up, you can start reading and earning “book bucks” to buy fun stuff and chances to win BIGGER prizes too!
Monday, June 30th
Teen Volunteer Orientation 1-2pm
If you are 13 years of age or older, and would like to help out in the
Children’s Room this summer, come to our orientation meeting and learn more!
AND THEN:
Tie Dye Program 2-3:30pm
Using stamping and marbling techniques, create a wearable t-shirt that is a work of art.
Please bring 2 white t-shirts or tank tops with you.

Chill out in the cool air conditioning of the library while watching an action packed duo of popular mummy movies starring Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz (The movies are Rated PG-13). Please call 432-7154 for exact movie titles.
Fresh-popped popcorn from our own popcorn machine,
your favorite movie snacks, and beverages will be served.

Paint Your Own Russian Nested Doll Workshop
Monday, August 8th from 1-3:30pm
Marina Forbes will tell a slightly scary tale about the fearsome witch,
Baba Yaga of Russian folklore.
Then, you will paint your own nested doll(s) in the likeness of Baba Yaga, in the traditional
Russian style, or any way you like.
Marina will bring a variety of dolls in different sizes. The dolls range in price between $10-$25 so please bring at least $10 with you to this program.

Tom McKittrick is a native of Lowell, MA who has taken his
one-man freak show to audiences,
including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, for two decades!
Don’t miss this exciting show where you get to learn the science behind
amazing feats like hammering a spike up his nose, eating light bulbs, sticking his arm in a bear trap, contortion, bizarre feats of strength, and so much more!
Why would a man who has a degree in Physics do these crazy things? “It’s all in the name of science!,” jokes Tom.

Pile on the terrifyingly tasty treats while we raffle off lots of great prizes, including gift cards to iTunes, Target, and Simon Malls! More big prizes will be announced throughout the summer. Don’t miss out on fun games, great food, karaoke and more!
