The Nesmith Library endeavors to maintain and enhance its business and investment resources. Suggestions for continued improvement are welcome. Annotated bibliographies of various Business and Investment Resources, Business Directories, and International Business Information Sources are available at the Reference Desk.


Probably the most heavily used resources include Morningstar Guide to Mutual Funds, Value Line Investment Survey and Value Line Investment Survey Expanded Edition. In response to patron requests, the library subscribed to Barron's: The Dow Jones Business and Financial Weekly and Investors' Business Daily. These newspapers join the Wall Street Journal in providing financial information to the business person and investor.

Because business and investment resources tend to be expensive and require regular updating, the library welcomes input regarding their usefulness.

Web-based business information is also in demand. At the New England Library Association's Annual Conference '99, a workshop on Web-Based Business Information on a Budget provided web sites for Investment Resources, Information for Starting and Running a Small Business, and International Trade/Business Information.
