Create Your Own Birdhouse Craft ~ PHOTOS! If you are 7 years of age or older, please join us Monday, April 25th at 1:00pm for an afternoon craft to make your own birdhouse to bring home. These birdhouses, unassembled and unfinished, require construction from start to finish. (5"W x 5"H x 6"D) This is not a drop in craft and registration is required. Children must reserve a spot if interested in attending. Space is limited. Please stop by the front circulation or call the library at 432-7154 to register. |
Seacoast Science Center - PHOTOS
Mark
your calendars for Tuesday, April 26th when the Seacoast
Science Center makes science come alive as they present two
programs at the Nesmith Library. During the first program, The North
American Lobster, children will learn how lobsters move, how they use their
big claws to eat, how they protect themselves and how fishermen catch them.
This program begins at 10:30am.
The
second program, starting at 11:30am, features Hermit Crabs and
brings a hands on approach to learning about these creatures. Both programs
are for children ages 5 and up and actively engage the children in
learning. Space is limited and registration is required. Don’t miss your
chance to get up close and personal with one of these fun creatures that live on
the ocean floor! Registered is limited to one program per person.
“The
Amazing Ed” Magic Show! - PHOTOS
On Wednesday, April 27th, at 10:30am, Philip and Henry Productions bring their “Amazing Magic Show” to the Nesmith Library. Please join us for a magical morning guaranteed to add some fun and laughter to your day. Their AMAZING MAGIC SHOW is a 40-minute, high-energy performance with lots of audience participation and interaction. The show focuses on comedy and amazing magic tricks with silks, rings, ropes and disappearing objects!
This program is recommended for children ages 5 and up but families are welcome to attend. Registration is required, and the number of children is limited per request of the company. Please call or stop by the library to register for this entertaining performance. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Windham.
